The '67 Coupe Project

Happy 4th everyone!!!
Well, I was able to get some more work done on the '67 Coupe today. It consisted of cutting out some more rust and grinding down the old spot welds in preparation for some patches to be welded in. I know it's not much, but I still consider it progress just the same :>)

Now I just need to locate a retailer of some Ospho and maybe some Zero Rust so I can be on par with Alex's http://68vert.blogspot.com/ '68 Vert that I am in aw of. If only mine comes out as good as his, I will be in good shape. If I cannot locate these items locally, I am only 45 minutes south of NPD's Charlotte location and I know I can get POR15 products from them to use instead.

Hopefully I will be able to get more done this weekend if it's not too hot.

  1. Great start! Your project will be better because hopefully you won't make the same mistakes I did. :-)

BTW, Ospho is at Home Depot and ZeroRust is most likely at your local auto paint stores. If not, you can get POR-15 from NAPA, etc.

    Good luck!

  2. Just as a reference, a lot of the Ace Hardware stores around here carry Ospho. Keep the updates coming and great work so far!
